Lawyer Dr. Petya Stoevska is a Master of Laws. She began her professional career at DSK Bank EAD as an intern in the Loans Department. In the banking institution she was assigned tasks related to the preparation of documents, notifications, announcements, contracts, legal opinions in credit and other banking transactions; consulting clients on products and services offered by DSK Bank; preparation of documents for the initiation of enforcement proceedings in connection with the collection of overdue receivables of the Bank, etc.
Lawyer Dr. Petya Stoevska worked as a legal advisor in key departments that have a significant impact on her development in the field of administrative, civil, international and criminal law. Within the structure of the Ministry of Transport, BDZ Passenger Transport, she worked in the Legal Department. The company is specialized in conducting and preparing comprehensive documentation for public procurement and tenders; conducting meetings with Bulgarian and foreign individuals and legal entities; preparing reports, legal opinions; consultations on legal cases; carrying out procedural representation in labor disputes, preparing orders, contracts and documentation related to the activities of the company. She was elected as a delegate to the general meetings of BDZ „Passenger Transport", where she protected the interests of employees. She was a member of the Commission for granting financial assistance to employees of BDZ „Passenger Transport" as a result of work-related incidents that occurred at their workplace.
In the Ministry of Finance, National Revenue Agency, Directorate „Collection of Receivables" she was engaged with the establishment, securing and collection of public receivables and private state receivables determined by law; establishment of public receivables for taxes and mandatory social security contributions by reason and amount; securing and compulsory collection of public receivables and private state receivables established by law; preparation of acts for the assignment of compulsory execution; sending messages for voluntary execution; serving acts to debtors; preparation of written opinions on complaints of citizens against acts issued by NRA bodies; participation in the administrative, technical and legal preparation of tender and public procurement procedures.
In the Ministry of Interior at the „Directorate for Property Management and Social Activities", where he was involved in preparing proposals, reports, memos for approving opinions from the leadership of the Ministry of Interior on housing issues; submitting proposals to the Minister of Interior in connection with the activity and preparing placement orders, opinions on complaints and requests of employees and other administrative bodies; participation in committees for the transfer and acceptance of state properties between the structures of the Ministry of Interior; participation in evaluation committees for the selection of a contractor, rental or sale of housing in accordance with the regulatory framework.
Lawyer Dr. Petya Stoevska gained experience in the social sphere, where she initially worked in a Foundation, whose scope of activity is the development and implementation of projects related to the education and qualification of young people, the promotion of human morality, charity, supporting the development and promotion of civil society, cooperation with related organizations and initiatives.
In 2023, Lawyer Petya Stoevska successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on „Social inclusion of persons with permanently reduced working capacity through employment", as a result of which she was awarded the educational and scientific degree „Doctor" in Organization and Management outside the sphere of material production. As a doctoral student, she participated in Bulgarian and international scientific forums with scientific articles related to the topic of her dissertation, such as the attitude of society towards the problems of people with disabilities and their readiness for integration through employment, socio – legal discourse on the labor integration of people with disabilities on the labor market in Bulgaria, trends in the attitude of employers to hire people with disabilities. Lawyer Dr. Petya Stoevska is a member of the „Union of Scientists“ – Stara Zagora.
As a lawyer, she was invited in TV formats of the leading TV channels in Bulgaria on the problems of domestic violence, foster care, work accidents, condominium ownership, illegal construction, theft, robbery, the risks of communication in social networks and other current problems.
Lawyer Dr. Petya Stoevska is part of the author team of the „Collection of Test Tasks” for the tenth grade for the Preparation for National External Assessment in Bulgarian Language and Literature.
